This t-shirt design is inspired by:
Robert William Thomson
In 1845, at the age of 23, Thomson, from Stonehaven, invented and patented The Pneumatic Rubber Tyre or ‘Aerial Wheel’.
With no cars and very few bicycles around, his invention had no demand.
It was another 43 years later that John Dunlop re-invented the tyre as the world had finally caught up. Thus Putting Dunlop in the history books and forgetting about Thomson.
